Crews collect it, signal or not
Crews draw points, lines and polygons against their job on a tablet or a laptop. Every map edit is saved on the device first and syncs when there is signal, so a dead zone does not stop the work. The palette holds only the tools your catalogue defines.

Quality rules in your catalogue can check the data on the map for required fields left empty, lines that end on nothing, stacked points and connections the rules forbid. The Quality Inspector lists what they find. Three geometry checks can instead be set to the strictest severity, which stops the edit: a line left loose at one end, for example, is not recorded.
Quality & automationThe deliverable comes out of the same record
Export the record as KMZ, a CSV or XLSX report over your own fields, or a PDF map book with an overview, a detail sheet wherever work has been drawn, and a sheet index when there is more than one. A KMZ can cover the project, some of its jobs or a lassoed selection, and the export panel shows the node count and footage before you run it.
Reports & exportsSubcontractors see only their job’s features
Share one job with a subcontractor’s crew and their map shows only the features inside that job’s area, though the project’s layers and catalogue stay visible to them. While map presence is on, they also see where everyone on the project was last seen and the routes they took today. Under the FieldWorker role they can add features there, but change the geometry or fields of, or delete, only the ones they placed. The server checks each of those requests, so a hidden button is not the only thing in the way.

How a job runs

Pick or build the catalogue in Catalog Studio, create the project on it, and draw each job’s boundary on the map.

Administrator
Share each job with the crew or subcontractor working it, under the FieldWorker role.

Field crew
Open the job from My Day, draw what was built and fill in its fields. Map edits sync when there is signal; photos can be added only while there is signal.

Office
Work through the Quality Inspector, export the report, KMZ or map book, and share the map read-only with the network owner.
